As a champion of the rule of law, Dean Rico Quicho adheres to the opinion that the verdict in People of the Philippines vs. Santos, et al. highlights the dangers of the Cybercrime Law. While the global trend is to decriminalize, the Philippines’ crackdown on libel, especially in light of the Anti-Terror Law, challenges our notions of freedom of speech and of the press.
